CCSP is vendor-neutral, meaning it applies to all cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), while AWS or Azure certifications focus on specific platforms. CCSP is best for professionals aiming at governance, architecture, and policy-level roles.
To become fully certified, you need at least 5 years of cumulative, paid work experience, including 3 years in information security and 1 year in one or more of the CCSP domains. If you lack the experience, you can become an Associate of (ISC)² after passing the exam and gain experience later.
The CCSP exam is based on 6 domains:
